REPAINTED FIGURES

This is my most recently manufactured figure - Johnny Haynes (England 1960s)

"Milliput" is used to sculpt a 1960's "quiff" hairstyle

Humbrol gloss paint is used to paint a 1960's Brylcreem effect
Select a figure with a facial likeness to the one that you're trying to create ...
in this case it's
Pro1690 Tal Ben Haim
Decapitate Ben Haim, drill the underside of his head & sandpaper smooth before repainting & blending
I then select a body to fit the head onto. As I don't particularly like the poses of most Corinthian figures I have chosen the Chinese club figure of Cai Sheng
I then remove the head of the Chinese figure, paint the new kit in Humbrol & add appropriate transfers for the England badge & shirt number for his back
The Haynes head has been superimposed onto it's new body to test the fit before painting the hair etc.
The finishing touches are added ... glossy black hair, eyebrows, lips, eye pupils, teeth etc. are all painted to achieve a likeness to Johhny Haynes
The base is painted with Humbrol matt "chocolate brown" to give an earth colour effectGreen "modellers grass" is then sprinkled onto a coat of PVA adhesive to give the base a more realistic effect & after another coat of diluted PVA for protection the figure is now completedJohnny Haynes
was the original
"Brylcreem Boy"
"The Maestro"

The above Corinthian Barcelona figures of Luis Figo (100th Centenary kit 1998/1999) and
Edgar Davids (2003/2004 kit) are some of the best detailed repaints that I have ever seen
The figures were painted by a very talented Japanese artist
named Gaku Hayashi pin@gate01.com and given to me as a Christmas gifts by my good friend Yoshihiko Sawada
The shirt badge, name & number + the sleeve & shorts logos are manufactured with perfectly created transfers

Here is another beautifully repainted figure, again by another of the very talented Japanese artists who produce perhaps some of the best repainted Corinthian figures in the world at present.
The artist is Keita Kurokawa who does not undertake commissions but his figures appear on Japanese Yahoo auctions under the seller's name of "raf_planning"
The figure is of the Barcelona and Mexico player Marquez and is in national teamstrip of season 2004/2005

The above "Epoch" Junichi Inamoto figure is another high quality repaint from Japan
The figure was painted in Fulham 2003/2004 home kit by a very talented Japanese artist but unfortunately his website is now inactive
